Inspired by his holiday jobs in his parents’ mechanical and manufacturing engineering business, Lukas Fleischer successfully took part in several regional and federal natural sciences competitions while still in high school. After graduating from high school, he started studying engineering economics – mechanical engineering at Graz Technical University, and specialised in the field of production engineering. This combined course of study allows him not only to understand complex technical issues, but also to take economic aspects into account. Within the scope of his master’s thesis, which was written in cooperation with Vienna Technical University and a leading manufacturer of logistics systems, he developed an innovative simulation model for the cycle time calculation of a shuttle warehouse system.
After graduating from university he joined our firm and did his training as patent attorney. Lukas Fleischer has been representing our clients as European Patent Attorney in all proceedings before the European Patent Office since 2017, and as patent attorney in all proceedings before the Austrian Patent Office since 2019. Moreover, as a European Trademark and Design Attorney he is authorised to represent clients before the European Union Intellectual Property Office in European trademark and design matters.
Lukas Fleischer fights for the interests of our clients prudently and emphatically. In addition to drafting utility model and patent applications, he also supports and coordinates property right portfolios at the national and international level, starting from the filing right through to granting. The development of application strategies for patents, trademarks and designs that are tuned to the specific needs of our clients is particularly important to him.
Since 2019, Lukas Fleischer has been tutoring the basic course for European patent law in Vienna, organised by the international section of Strasbourg University (CEIPI).
